Adichie speaking in the "The Danger of a Single Story" TED talk

“Anything that gets young people talking about feminism is a very good thing.”

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a Nigerian author who writes novels, short stories and non-fiction texts. In 2012, she delivered a brilliant TED talk titled "We Should All Be Feminists" where she shared her experience as an African feminist, views on gender construction, and thoughts on sexuality. Parts of the talk were sampled in Beyonce's 'Flawless' and Harpers-Collins published an essay based on the talk. Adichie studied medicine and pharmacy in Nigeria for a year and a half before moving to the States to study communications and political science. She divides her time between teaching writing workshops in Nigeria and being in the US.
